VERY URGENT HELP! re. Air con!

I have had my Cooper for about 2 months now. I ordered and paid for Air Conditioning. Today I decided to see what it was like as I was looking through the manual. However, to my horror, there is no A/C button in my car! There is a blank button, top let as you look at the centre console. Should this be an air conditioning switch?

I fear that BMW have taken my money and not fitted the air con!

What should be my course of action if this is the case?

Chilli red/black Cooper, TLC, Chilli Pack, white side indicators, black/red half leather, 17" S spoke rims

The manual air con switch is not the top left button, that's for a heated front screen. The manual a/c button is top right of the four small buttons, above the recirculatory air button.

And has a snowflake on it, at least on my US spec car.

Yep, the snowflake is pretty much the accepted "aircon" symbol, but I'd hate it if it got THAT cold! The idea of little frosty flakes coming through the blowers doesn't really appeal.

Could give the interior of your car a christmassy feel though

It was acceptable in the 80's
