red interior not popular? - MINI Cooper Forum

out of ~20 mini & mcs i've seen on the dealer lots, none had red interior - why is this? is the red not popular? i've seen some pics and thought it looked great ...

I did not know it was availiable. Never seen it on miniusa in the build your own but then I was not building Red cars

Hi, hope this comment does not upset any red interior owners, in the pics it looks great, but in my opinion it did not live up to my expectations in the flesh. Only my opinion though, not meaning to cause offence. Regards Damian.

problem is the lack of red leather, in the US anyway.

If they allowed you to pick the red interior with the black door panels it might be more popular also, sometimes its just too much red IMO.

I've seen the red interior and it looks very nice. One person in Atlanta had her red seats recovered in red and black leather. Wow! It is gorgeous!

If you want to talk about unpopular, I have the green leather.

I've got a Black MC with a white roof and a red interior, and I'm not offended in anyway, ya cheapskate shmuck

Remember it's not an option on the MCS so they're not even in the equation.

Thats because they won't do it on sport seats, or I'd have gotten it

Yes, that was a hard decision for me, but I had to go with the green leather. I sometimes still wish for the sports seats though.

I hold my hand up; I ordered the red interior when I got my black MINI. I just thought that it was much more interesting than owning a black car (albeit with a chequerboard roof, white lights and an indecent amount of chrome) with a black interior. That said, some of my friends have taken to calling it "a womb with a view!"
