Driver seat "boing" noise

Noticed for a couple of weeks recently a strange noise emanating from the driver's seat just as I'm getting out of the car. It seems to come from near the lumbar region and I can only describe it as a "boing" noise, as if a spring's gone?! I can occasionally replicate it by pushing my lower back against the seat. (I've half-leather sports seats.)

Appreciate any ideas of how to cure it.

Felty.

It's your lumbar support. Had problems with mine on my last mini, it went in to the dealers a couple times before it was fixed. As you say if you push your back into the seat you can feel it moving in and out. Mine made more of a cracking noise..

I've experienced this in a couple of MINIs, not my own thankfully. Seems fairly easy for a dealer to fix.

Hi,

I had the same problem in both seats, my dealer fixed it no problems anymore.
