Hi Oreokid,

I have fitted a MD changer and it is quite easy.
You have to make sure you have specified the cd prep wire for your mini.
The wire should be tucked in the cubby hole in the right hand side of the boot.
You will also need a connects2 adapter, for the MD changer unit to interface with the Mini headunit. I believe the model no is ABMS005, and is available at all good car hifi stockist.
All you need to do is connect the wires to the interface unit and tuck them away in the cubby box. And then fit the MD unit against the side of the boot.

Hope this helps

I cannot understand people that get MD changers I mean sure I had one back in 2k but they hold only 2 albums? Why not get a MP3 CD Player like the MP70.

Why don't you just get a portable minidisc (net md) and plug it into the aux port on the head unit.... 5 or 6 cds on one minidisc and no loss of boot space and you can see the track listings... my net md is in the cubby on the driver's side and the lcd remote is velcroed to the dash.. Cost is less than £100.

Yeah I'd suggst awaiting for Hi-MD to come out.

Only problem is that it took ages for MD-LP format to come on to ICE from Sony, and it means buying a new Hi-MD recorder.

With Hi-MD your probably better just buying a head unit that plays it.

Actually if you record in LP4 you can get 5 albums on a disk.

I recently got a single MD HU with a 6 cd changer in the boot. Had it supplied by Mikeythemini (new MINI Stuff) and can't reccomend him highly enough.

You know mikey doesn't even like Sony stuff *LMAO* He's fitted enough to MINI's!

I'm partial to a bit of Kenwood but they don't do any decent MD stuff, and no MD changer
