| Black Gravity Leather on a Cooper S Hey every one, finally specking my Cooper S out, and I have a question, I had heard that the center of the gravity leather sport seats were lined with profile leather, the "nubby" kind, any truth to this rumor?  Waiting, officially, since July 12, 2001. C'mon July 2002! Indi Blue Cooper S, White roof, Bonnet stripes, Lapis blue leather, Premium, Sport, and Winter packages. Is December here yet?  |

| Profile Leather is only available on the Cooper. Check out the brochure picture for differences between it and Gravity Leather:  [click to enlarge] Leatherette looks the same as Gravity Leather and doesn't cost $1250. |

| "Leatherette" sounds so bad but looks and feels so good. On the sport seats it was nice and not slippy-slidey. I'm definitely saving the $1250 and getting the Leatherette. | Thanks for the info. I just ordered the car: Dark Silver w/ white roof and bonnet stripes. Sport Package Premium Package Heated seats Harmon Kardon w/DSP Lapis Blue Leather interior. Performance (summer) tires. Woo-hoo!  Waiting, officially, since July 12, 2001. C'mon July 2002! | How did you "order" your car? I was under the impression that no customer spec'd 'S' models will be built until June. Also, HK audio is supposedly delayed until September builds. |

| hmmmm.. Wasn't aware of any problems w/HK As far as my order goes, It's probably just sitting on the salesmans desk until it can be sent off to MINI officially in June or whenever. It wasn't any official sheet or anything. Waiting, officially, since July 12, 2001. C'mon July 2002! | Hmmmm.didn't look or feel the same to me...guess I ****ed away my $1250. Ken Shapiro Electric Blue w/ Sport Package...first "S" delivered in Maryland (5/10/02) I've been everywhere but the electric chair...I've seen everything but the wind. |
