Install ICE without blowing fuse?

Hi,

How do I install one without blowing up the fuse? I've done this twice already - doh!

What are you trying to run? Where are you sourcing the power from? If your trying to run anything more than a Head unit and CD changer from the standard power source (ISO connector) then it'll blow easy.

If your running amps or Eq's etc then run a seperate power source using the correct guage cable for the current that you will be drawing. Most importantly, make sure the new source is fused within 10 inches of the +ve battery terminal.

You might have a short to ground somewhere in your wiring.

Or possibly in the HU itself, tho that would prolly mean a call to Sony's warranty dept.

Took delivery on 10/09/2003.

Mmmm.... Dark silver.

Sounds like a faulty head unit, if you didn't have fuses your car would catch fire if there was a fault, it's trying to tell you something.

I think the headunit doesn't work. I've taken it to be once before for repair and it's still f****
