Fed Up with Door Pockets

Has anyone had any ideas on making the door pockets more usable? First, I can only insert relatively small objects in the pockets - then everything slides to the center in a jumble.

Somewhere on the net I saw a pocket that fits in the pocket, but I couldn't figure how that would help other than maybe with rattling.

What I have been thinking about is some sort of organizer (similar to the one for the glove box) that could be inserted vertically and hold things upright - like sunglasses, garage door opener, etc.

I have the usual glove box organizer that I am about to replace with a handmade, and much better designed, one from GoMiniGo. Maybe I'll see what I can do with the old one...

Any other ideas?

MMM,
I just recently bought the center console shown here half way down the page:
http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/a...nizers/bmw.htm

I have heard good things about this organizer from others on mini2 and this was the cheapest I could find it.

I have also heard about a parcel tray for under your steering wheel, but it's about $90.

Hope that helps!

I think you will like the cubby organizer (center console organizer) - it's great. I also clenched my teeth and got the parcel tray - it's the greatest ever!! I debated for a long time, but I'm delighted to have it - well worth the $s.

I just am so annoyed with the two door pockets that I am determined to do something to make them work.

My new glove box organizer just arrived from GoMiniGo - so I'll probably try to adapt the g/b organizer I've been using to fit the door pocket on the driver's side.

You have the glovebox organizer, center console organizer and driver-side parcel shelf and still need to put stuff in the door pockets

Time to get rid of some stuff

The only thing that fits in the door pocket and doesn't rattle is a MINI baseball cap

Yep - mucho stuff for husband, kids, and dogs.

Maybe I need to keep the stuff and get rid of the husband and the kids...

PS - The MINI baseball caps are in the parcel shelf.

...if I can't take it with me when I get out of the car, it doesn't go in to start with. Door pockets, centre console and glovebox are all empty. Yes, I am a bit sad, but I'm still in new car phase. (2 weeks old)

Red Dwarf, your signature is wonderful!

But about that parcel shelf, doesn't everything fall off it when you go around a curve?
