Canada replacing seat panel?

My car was delivered on Feb 28, 04. After i picked up my car, i was going to drive it but suddenly i saw some sratches on my seat panel. The scratches was about 1 inch deep. The dealer said she will replace the new one for me. SO NOW, here is the question. SHOULD I REPLACE IT OR NOT? Would have any side effect after replaced it?
