Help! H/K is just not loud enough!!

Since picking the car up in January i've mainly listened to pop music. Today a classical CD ventured into my car, and even with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on 'Full Belt' and the HK up absolutely full, it was mostly inaudible when it went to a medium loud section or below.

Pop music is excellent - no complaints there.

Is there anything i can do to hike the volume up?

Nothing but after after and more s!

The only thing that I could think of is sound deadening the car, Im unsure whether this is done on HK installation, but I know that a volume increase can be achieved this way.

This is a common problem with classical music - a very wide dynamic range. If you copy it to another CD using a PC program you might be able to "compress" it - that basically increases the volume of the quiet parts, but of course it makes the music unlike the original.
I have the same problem with Pink Floyds The Wall.

HK issues - if you choose the "Instrumental" mode it seems very quiet to begin with. Not a great choice. If you have bass or treble adjusted above center (ie: to boost frequencies) that is stealing maximum volume from your HK - turn them down again!
