United-States got a new armrest :)

I bought a new armrest for my Mini, the installation requires me drilling it into the back cup holder do you think this would hurt my Mini ?

Yep. Poor thing.

Wont do any long term harm, think of it as a piercing.

I have one of those I'd love to sell if anyone wants one for a lot less than retail.

When fully open, it still isn't quite long enough for me to rest much more than the tip of my elbow on it. It's because I'm not tall (5' 7"), so my seat is positioned relatively close to the steering wheel. I thought I'd be satisfied with that, but I'd really like one that's longer.

The only one I've seen that looks like it extends further than this one is the mini-fini armrest. It's pricy though, so I'd like to sell the one I have before trying that one.

For someone taller than me (who would have their seat further back), it would work great. It's a fine product - no complaints about the quality.

Here's pics of it and my install: LINK

It really should be in its own thread just so the topic title accurately reflects the contents.

That said, it actually shouldn't be in its own thread because the subject has been covered so many time before. The Search function is your friend.

That also said, every MINI has an engine immobilizer which will keep the engine from starting unless a genuine key is near the ignition. The MINI alarm (siren, motion sensor, tilt sensor) is a separate option.

i figured it was talked about to death,
so the alarm is a separate feature, but by default it has an engine shutdown feature

Thanks
