In my previous car the idiot (check engine) light came on while I was on a highway, in the rain, at night, in February. This car was 18 years old. So what to do? Stop to aviod blowing up the engine or keep going? I looked at the guages and saw that the oil pressure was fine the temperature was fine, the engine sounded OK so I kept going. Later I checked the engine codes and found that I had a pvc valve problem, not an emegency.
IMHO: In the mini there is no oil pressure guage, but the oil temp can possibly alert you to problems and the voltage guage is important in a car where every thing seems be computer controlled. everything you know is wrong gnorw si wonk uoy gnihtyreve |
