| Absolutely easiest way to remove sunvisor sticker Ok. First I have to admit I had to mess up one to figure out how to do the other but now the method was so easy it involved absolutely no elbow grease. How I messed up: I got some Goo Gone and figured I would soak the sticker. I simply poured some on it spreading it evenly with my finger and let it dry. Then I poured some more on and spread again. I was impatient and tried to peel off the sticker with an exacto knife. When that wasn't working I grabbed some Acetone and poured some onto a towel and rubbed the sticker. Little did I know that this lead directly to the black edge of the sticker melting and getting spread all over the damn place. So I screwed up the drivers side. I ended up getting a toothbrush and rubbing like crazy and basically removed most of the black stuff though I was completely p*ssed at this point and just gave up (I have my garage door cliped to the visor so it blocks it anyways and I never use the vanity mirror). How I figured out how to do it easily: This whole time I had soaked the passenger side twice and it was sitting there just dry. I poured some Acetone directly onto the sticker and unbelievably the ENTIRE STICKER peeled right off with no bleeding at all. So there you have it: pour some "Goo gone" onto the sticker, let it dry, pour some more, let it dry for like 10 minutes, then pour some Acetone and simply peel the sticker off. I wish I were more patient the first go around but it's not the end of the world! "Do or do not. There is no try." - Master Yoda Last edited by LordOfTheFlies; Jun 9th, 2004 at 01:54 PM. |

| I'm thinking a hair dryer gone wrong would have melted the covering material of the visor and/or melted the sticker to the point of no return. "Do or do not. There is no try." - Master Yoda |

| Thanks. I take pride in my modifiminations and what not. And I've only had the car since the end of April! Going down to Helix MiniSports in Philly this weekend to install a 15% pulley, a short shift kit (for the '04 models) and maybe even a rear sway bar. I'm going to have to trim down my signature as I am already maxed out at 498 characters (the limit is 500). Bullocks! Edit: Signature trimmed! And with 17 characters still unused.... "Do or do not.
