Switches and more Switches

For the next set of planned updates and mods to be done on my MINI. Nos, Cyro, Neon(maybe) or what ever i come up with. Like most we need More switches. Since recently i did the retro fit to have the rear fog lights installed. That means i have a spare Switch panel. Yes I know the panel is a circut panel and pretty useless .. but not the face plate. Since the can holders in the front are used for nothing but change holders and that i dont smoke. I decide to use the space to put in a second row of switches. Here are a couple of pix. 1st the stock switch panel's face plate. slightly modded. 2nd the Pillar also slightly modded. 3rd a quick mock up of the finished look. still need to trim the orig. padding from when i painted the pillar white. 4th the tools used in making the mod. note the hacksaw blade was use for a straight edge and measuring device.

Now I have the set up to do just about anything i want. Currently using the first Button as engine start switch. I have some of the other stuff on the way or in upcomming plans.
