Whalen Shift Knob

I just had a great experience with Doug Whalen-he of the Whalen Shift Knob, that I needed to pass on to Mini2 members.

I ordered my chrome shifter back in May anticipating a mid June arrival of my new Mini. Delivery delays put the Mini in my hands July 6. When I tried the shifter it would not lock in place. Figuring I was a total moron and missed something simple I emailed Doug. He emailed back and asked questions about the slider and knob and whether it was flush or slightly recessed. I tried to send some digital pictures, and Doug determined I had the wrong shifter for my model year. He sent the correct shifter, with payment for returning the bad one and I got my shifter in 2 days.

Fits perfectly!!! I highly recommend Doug's product, but even more so now because of his attention to customer service, which is in short supply these days. I intend to tell anyone I meet with new Mini's,(which there are a lot of in DC), about the Whalen shift machine and Doug's excellent customer relations.

I ordered mine on the monday and it had arrived with me a few days later!!
Here is a few pics of my Whalen.
Remember it is actually a slight performance enhancer as it is pretty much double the weight of teh standard knob and makes for much smoother shifts....
BTW when people are sitting in your passenger seat it is definitely an eyecatcher, a very classy touch!
