Fitting a Glove Box

Can I fit a 2003/2004 modal glove box into my 2001 cooper. I was considering getting one off a breakers...Would it fit

Check out GoMINI magazine, there's an advert for a breakers in there. Or if you want a new one I think Cool New sell them for about hundred quid.

If you don't manage to get one cheap on e-bay then I would suggest ordering a brand new one from your dealer.

There is a thread on here which lists the part numbers for the glovebox itself, and all the screws etc you will need too which is very handy : http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...tro+glovebo%2A

The other threads which offer a step-by-step guide to the fitting refer to a wire for the light which is to be found on the left hand side of the space once the shelf has been removed, but on my car this wasn't there!

My car is a July 2002 build so I suspect that this won't be on your car either. You need to order a wiring kit (the part number for this is on the other thread too I think). This is easily joined to the wiring already on the car.

I would recommend the glovebox (I never really liked the shelf much!), and apart from a couple of screws it was pretty easy to fit (once I gave up looking for the wires which aren't there!!).
