CLOTH SEATS, anyone?

Does anyone have CLOTH seats? If yes, pls. tell me how what color(s) u got and how it looks. Also, r they comfortable?
I ordered cloth seats for my pure silver w/ black roof/mirrors. It's the Kaleido cloth with Panther black & silver combo. I've seen visuals on brochures and on miniusa.com but not in person. The CT dealer doesn't have Mini with cloth seats, it's either leather or leatherette (also called "pleather") Don't like leather or leatherette, they get hot in the winter and cold in the summer (he, he.. just kidding but u get my drift).

Unless US April build Cooper pre-specs were modifiable, there won't be any cars with cloth seats built until May (June for S's). Your dealer should have swatches of all the upholstery choices.

Your post is a little confusing as the only Kaleido (Cooper) choices are either Panther Black or Tartan Red seating surfaces with Panther Black bolsters. The silver (called Dark Grey in the brochure) seating surface is available only on Space Cloth seats in the 'S'.

I was going with Space Cloth until I saw pictures and then the actual swatches ... too BRIGHT ... so I'm going with Leatherette

I have Panther Black cloth seats in my Cooper......I must say its comfy, cool in hot weather, (no A/C, sunroof instead), and its the grippiest material Ive ever sat in !!!

Here is a picture of the standard UK Cooper cloth seats. This is also the darker interior, called Anthracite in the UK. I like them both, then again it is my car

Panther black & silver grey combo clarification:

What I meant was black kaleido cloth seats with silver interior (door paneling, probably dashboard, etc....)

The other choice with black & black. Black kaleido cloth seats with darker interior (door panel, probably dashboard...) I know it's subjective but I thought that this combo make the whole interior too dark.

FWIW, I've seen both and prefer the Panther Black as I think the Silver or Magnesium Grey will show scuff marks more.

Hi, Spectra! My Mini is just like yours! Delivered on April 15th, Pure silver w\black roof, Panther black cloth seats, Silver grey interior. Sorry, I've got no digital camera, but if I manage to do some pics, I'll send you.
Btw, the seats are comfortable, but I think they don't hold you very much in fast bends, If I had known before, I would have ordered Sport seats. (And I'm not too heavy, 1.70 m tall, 62 kg weight)

Not to be bummer but I hope u don't have the famous "left pull" syndrome, do u? I guessing that your Mini was built in March 02. My baby will be born on May 10. Let me know if u have any quality problems w/ yours... hopefully none or minor, if any. Thanks Cooper Twin.

If you go for the Silver grey trim the door panels, rear interior panels and carpets are light grey but the top of the dash is black ... not very nice.

Oh and get the sports seats, they're much more comfortable than the normal seats.

I think most dash tops are black in a bid to reduce reflections in the windscreen on bright days.....some Japanese cars and indeed the alnd Rover Discovery and such like have had those light blue and beige dashboards, and under the wrong conditions, reflections could be very troublesome........
