Steering wheel problems

This is a new old topic. Sometime ago there were some posts about steering wheel defects as it pertains to the leather flaking off the wheel. If I remember right it was covered by the warranty.

My search of the archives was not successful, please help if you can.

Just some tips on the search for you and anyone else reading that might help in future.

If you put flak* leather in the search (advanced, www.mini2.com/forum/search.php) then it will match flaking, flaked, flake, flakes etc. (*) wild card.

You can chose which forums to search using "control click" (hold press down the ctrl button while clicking the forums you want to search in the list on the search page) to chose certain forums only.

Using this to search "Interior & ICE" and "Faults and Fixes", I got this:

Don't want to sound patronising, but hopefully those tips will help out in future if you need to search again.

My Leather steering wheel was replaced only last week (under warranty) due to the Leather flaking off. It was only one year old and the dealer made no quibble about replacing it. Hope this is of help.
