Ipod + Ice Link + Belkin

I'm thinking of buying an Ipod for my Mini but I really need some advise from you guys and girls.

I have an PDA with a brodit holder on the right side of my radio. Now I want to have the Ipod somewhere so that I can see it clearly. I was thinking of the Belkin Ipod holder which just sits in the coffee holder. Together with the IceLink, dock cable this should work, isn't it!?!? Does somebody already have this configuration!?!? and do I have to connect the dock cable manually when I place the Ipod in the Belkin holder!?!?

More info is much appreciated. Could find this in any other thread!

This will be fine. You'll have to attach the dock cable manually. If you want to avoid this, then use the ice>Link:iPod active cradle and forget about the Belkin passive cradle.

You'll be needing the Ice Link like mine, there is a group buying being organised at the moment so have a search through the threads and you might save some money too

Kenhenry has an ipod fitted using the beltclip holder and an empty film canister
which attaches to the hazard light button. works really well and survived the bumps of the last Clubmini run.

thank you all very much. It's going to be an Icelink active cradle which looks like the best option together mikes suggestion: Brodit clip for the right pillar.

Going to search for that group buy! Hope I'm not to late! (Mike I'm on my way)

Slightly off-topic - but those of you who've fitted the Ice-link, what's the best way to secure the stuff inside the dash to prevent rattles? There's a lot of kit to drop down the back of the head unit... and no room for chunky hands like mine Gonna fit mine this weekend.
