What armrest do you have in your MINI?

I've been collecting images for a pictorial on the MINI Accessories selections in the MINI Profile and thought I'd share the ones on Armrests ...

It seems like GotMini (now TVA) offered the first armrest, one I've named the "Wedge" because it is held in place by wedging it between the upper bolsters of the two front seats:

I didn't name this latest offering from TVA:

The armrest above looks very similar to the one below but it isn't covered with real leather like the one from Newton Commercial:

Getting back to the "evolution" time line ...

Wood Company was next on the scene with their armrest:

The original version of this model bolted into the rear cup holder and had a sliding real leather pad with a storage compartment underneath:

The above has evolved into the "Ultimate" version which also "restores" the rear cup holder, offers a retractable cup holder in the storage base and is fitted with a hinged bracket to allow it to be flipped up and out of the way:

The Wood Company Italy site shows an EC (Economy Class?) model which is vinyl covered and looks similar to the TVA Wedge, but is bolted into the rear cup holder and can be flipped up:

The Wood Company also offers a HT (High Tech?) model which like the UV model "restores" the rear cup holder and is fitted with a hinged bracket to allow it to be flipped up:

Thanks for the chronology on the Design Parts armrest

I previously found and saved the attached image of the OEM cell phone armrest. There is also a cell phone armrest shown on the Wood Company USA site:

I know Cooper I Do has the OEM phone armrest installed.......and mhoutman as far as I know.........

FYI - The 2005 currently does not work with any of these armrest, to my knowledge. This is due to the larger rear cup holder in the 2005. I spoke with MiniFini recently and they said they would have a new mount for their armrest in about one month.

I have the Wood Company OV (and answered that way in the poll), but I got it before the MINI-FINI came out. I'd really like to sell mine and get the MINI-FINI, but no one wants to buy it.

I have (and voted for) the Wood Company Ultimate Version Armrest. It is very comfortable, and I really like the extra storage for my iPod. I can stash it in there when parking (ssssshhhh, dont tell anyone). Oh, and the cup holder fits starbucks coffee cups no problem!

We ordered an 05 for my wife, and so I emailed Wood Company USA and asked if their armrest would fit the 05. They replied to my message quickly, and said that all armrests shipping from October onward would fit both the 05 (extra part included) as well as previous year models.

After thinking about an armrest, and driving the car for a couple thousand miles, I decided I neither needed, or wanted one.

So - mark me down for "armrest free!"

Youre right. I got the OEM armrest with phone.
Its a piece of crap...
Try to look down for 2 seconds while driving. Its impossible to dail a number while driving.
I do like the looks of it.
