2005 MINI Armrest

Hi guys - just curious - how did your armrests arrive? I'm just wondering if I am waiting for a UPS, FedEx or U.S. Postal Service vehicle.

I was in the first group buy and my arm rest took forever to arrive (although I'm on the West Coast so I knew it would take longer). I think that I was the second or third from the last person to receive it and yet I was second or third on the group buy list. Don't fret as I'm sure it will arrive soon. BTW, it's going to look great in that SWEET ride you've got. It will really go nicely with your black seats and body colored dash and door panels.

I was in the first group buy and my arm rest arrived (in good condition, but very poorly packaged) via regular snail mail. The post man just left it on my doorstep.

The US dealer I usually order from says they're not expected in until Feb.

I ordered mine from my MINI dealer today, should be here by Wednesday.

I'm hoping to wire up a Alpine iPod adapter into the armrest, hope it works

My armrest arrived via USPS today. Wife called me at work. I asked her to open it and she said it was in good shape. Thanks to Alex!! Now I have my Christmas present.

does anybody know if you use the form that alex posted a few pages back and email it, is he still accepting those as orders? I completed the form about two weeks ago and nothing has shown up on my online credit card statement yet. Is it still too early to tell?

I ordered my Armrest from Alex at the end of November. I just received it in the mail this weekend. I followed the "how to install" that I think JWARDELL (?) wrote on this board. I didn't have a proper wrench or bolt, so I went and bought one. Installation was a snap. The armrest is almost perfect! I can't believe it wasn't in the car in the first place. It makes driving much easier. I wish it was a little longer, but other than that, I love it.

Next up: I'm going to try and install my iPods in the armrest.

My armrest just arrived! Waiting for the rain to stop so I can install it. Curiously, the box it came in had no packing whatsoever, just the part in an empty box but nothing was damaged so no harm done. The hole in the side did have me worried at first though.

Mine showed up the same way....hole in the box, no padding, no instructions, just a credit card receipt. But all was well with it, and it is a great addition to the Mini. By the way, maybe I installed it slightly off, but it seems that it's not perfectly centered. There is more room between the inside passenger seat and the armrest, than on the inside drivers' seat and armrest (like an inch or so). It looks fine, no one would notice it, and I'm sure I could tweak it, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Check the price as I got two different ones from two local dealers.

The one that has a branch in Brizzol was £125, the Cheltenham one was £99.

Interestingly the expensive one would have taken three days, the cheap one was a next day delivery.......

If you paid more, complain!!!
