OEM Sirius for 2005 MCS Anyone have any news on the OEM Sirius for the 2005 model year? I had it on my 2003 and I miss not having it. I know there are other ways to get satellite service, but I'd like to stick with the OEM version. Apparently, the previous setup doesn't fit, connect correctly or there's something up with the new antenna. Whatever the reason, I'd sure like some info on when the setup for the 05's is expected. Thanks, Karl |

2005 SiriusOption Hi: I just got home from making my initial deposit for my PW B , Black Red Perforated with Red stitching seats. Still not sure if I am going to stick to this color option or go with the DS W. Any feedback on the Pepper vs Bark Silver would be helpful. Anyway, I did enquire about the Sirius radio since I am debuted XM radio listener. From my understanding this option is available through dealer installation. Which means, that the Mini comes factory equipped with Siriu and your local dealer activates the radio for you; at a hefty charge of $650.00 . I opted out until I find the proper means to by pass this ridiculous dealer fee. Best Regards, Carlos |

| Thanks. I know it's a dealer installed option - I had it in my 2003. My question is, does anyone have any info concerning the holdup on the install for the 2005 model year? Apparently, the previous Sirius tuner doesn't work with the 05 models and they are coming out with a new one that works. I'm assuming that the 2005 radio is still Sirius ready, since I have heard nothing to the contrary. I just can't get an answer as to when the new setup will be available. Karl |

I just picked up my MCS and had order the Sirius but the dealer was not able to install. Here's the info they forwarded to me regarding this: "The release date for a new Sirius Radio antenna that is required is late September." Looks like it should be coming soon. Regards, Doug |

| Thanks for the reply. Everything I've read up until now has said the 05's antenna was supposed to be universally setup for radio, Sirius and navigation. I don't have navigation, so I didn't know if it was correct or not. The antenna looks slightly different from my 03, so I was hoping that the info was true and maybe would mean a little less in installation charges. I guess we'll have to wait a couple more weeks to see what is released. Karl |
