I've been told that the new 2005 Mini radios play MP3s.
The Mini website does not mention this. Any idea if
it's really true?

Do I see this right, is the Radio Boost a product from Harman/Kardon? Sounds good to me!Tubby said:I know that the new BOOST Radio/CD plays MP3 CD's, as does the H/K CD (which is the BOOST Radio/CD headunit).
Not quite edgar... The H/K system adds an H/K Multi-channel DSP Amp and H/K speakers to the normal BOOST headunit. Work well sounds good looks inconspicuous ...edgar said:Do I see this right, is the Radio Boost a product from Harman/Kardon? Sounds good to me!
Only 2005 and above.BigCanoe said:Only the 2005, or earlier models too?
and if you put mp3 files in folders called BMW1, BMW2, BMW3, etc... then you can use your CD buttons.steebo777 said:Only 2005 and above.
Can this be done with discs made with itunes? If so -- can you advise how?Cooper S Works said:and if you put mp3 files in folders called BMW1, BMW2, BMW3, etc... then you can use your CD buttons.
What? I have no clue what that means. The other MP3 thread in this thread describes all the functions of the new '05 HU, as well as how to make folders for the HU.Cooper S Works said:and if you put mp3 files in folders called BMW1, BMW2, BMW3, etc... then you can use your CD buttons.
what he was trying to say was that if you named the folders BMW1, BMW2, etc. that you could use the 1-5 buttons on the radio to change between those folders directly.steebo777 said:What? Press 'M' and then use the arrow keys to change folders.scott_roberts said:I just name my folders whatever I like on the CD and the player recognizes each folder as TR01, TR02, etc. I just don't know how to skip from folder to folder.
I think the amount of folders would be practically unlimited. If there is a limit it might be 255 folders as some other systems have that as an upper limit. I've played several MP3 CD-Rs now and the only problem is with no ID3 tags I can't always see what folder I'm on till I've played a track.eeney said:Thanks for all the info here guys.
I've just burnt and successfully tested my first mp3 CD , with 8 albums on one CD, who needs a CD changer
