United-Kingdom 2005 facelift MCS ICE Boost head & changer

Can anyone advise regarding the fitments of a Boost CD player CD53 R50 square pins & 6 disk changer.
I have my new UK 2005 spec Cooper S on order for delivery March 2005 with a wave tuner/cassette which I obviously don't want.I want to replace it with a (2001) CD53 R50 & (2003) BMW 6 disk changer that I have purchased second hand.I know the car comes with CD prep (Chilli) & should be okay, does anyone know if the HU will work without coding/modifying & plug straight in etc.
I have tried putting into a "non" Mini car to test it but it will not accept a CD & displays "disable". Is this the norm? Plus would I require a interface cable ie "Wave to Boost" to install it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated many thanks.
Regards.

You will need a wave to boost harness adaptor, wave to boost cd prep adaptor
I think once it goes in a mini it will work

Thanks for that, I gathered it may of needed a convertor for the HU but not the changer I thought it would plug straight in.
Approximately how much are they & where do you get them from?
Would the error "Disable" show this symptom in another car?

Cd53 R50

Is the CD53 R50 the old version of the CD Player? The one that is not MP3 compatible. If so does anybody know the number of the MP3 model?

thanks
