Easiest way of fitting MP3 player

I've just bought 03 MCS with radio boost, H/K and CD prep. I was just wondering what the easiest way to connect an MP3 player, I've heard you can connect it to the CD prep with the right connector. I'm not very technical so don't really fancy connecting it to the HU.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Absolute easiest way is to get a cassette adaptor. One end goes in your cassette player (it looks like a cassette) and the other end plugs into your headphone jack on the MP3 player.

Easy as pie.

For better quality sound, get your dealer to install an AUX input into your stereo.

I've read in other posts that some people have installed the iPod through the CD prep in boot/trunk.

What player do you have?

Or haven't you got a player yet? I'm in Europe and the official iPOD interface whch goes in the CD-exchanger prep still isn't available yet. And the ice>link Plus adapter for the iPOD isn't availabe here yet too.

I use iPAQ PDA over the Auxiliary Input which is very easy to build in yourself, and created my own MINI skin:

Good luck

Berthil,

nice setup..... this is exactly what I'm looking for. But do you know if you can hold your cd changer with the auxilary setup..... Can I change from radio to aux to cd?

If so I'm going to buy this immediately!

Regards

Tomas

yes you can. the aux plugs into a different socket than the cd prep does. if you have mfsw, then you can change from aux to radio to cd from this too and you can adjust volume on any input to aux from steering wheel too.

The skin Berthil has done for pocket Music is really neat and the night skin matches all the mini interior lighting in orange. he has done a great job with this.
