Yellow Cooper Installing a bass tube

Hi peeps,

Right, i finally got a bass tube for the boot of my mini one, its really easy 2 wire up, in electrical terms, but i just need 2 find the wires i need 2 connect it 2! A few things i need help on:

Firstly, I obviously need 2 power it. I have heard that u can get a cigarette lighter for the boot, and even if you dont have it, the connections r still there. is this true? hopefully it is and if so, would i simply be able 2 connect the basstube 2 these connections rather than running them all the way 2 the battery under the bonnet?

Secondly, i need 2 connect the basstube in parallel 2 both of the rear speakers. this is easily done if i can get 2 them! there are no screws in the rear panels so whats the secret, how do i get them off?

Finally, I need 2 link up the remote on cable. i have the standard cd boost head unit and 2 save me all the time and effert could some1 pls tell me if there is a suitable connection at the back of it for the remote power on.
I dont think there will be, however, i have noticed that there is already a set of 6 wires running into the hatch in the boot for a cd changer(which i dont have) could i use one of these for remote on?

If anyone knows any of these questions or even a website that has a guide 2 fitting a sub in a mini (the easy way ) i would b most gratefull.

Thanks

Thanks Babes
For getting to the rear speakers see the DIY guide on my site above. You can get to the wires there (lots of stripping) or run them to the stereo. The stereo sort of has a turn on wire - it is thin white- comes on with stereo but also with ignition. You can also find it in the left boot cubby
The boot cig lighter wires are not there if there is no lighter

thanks mikey, so i got the remote on sorted, the ground can easily b done, but the positive power cable, and speakers still look tricky. i looked up ur site and found the guide to geting to the speakers, this is what i will probably end up doing as it looks quite a lot of effort but will give the neatest results. The power though, whats the best way to power it up? if theres not a cable already in the boot do i have to go straight into the engine bay? or is there another shortcut i can take?

thanks
