chrome rear cup holder

I just got a chrome rear cup holder ring which has mounting clip/lugs on the outer edge and there is no way it will clip into the cup holder on my 52 my as there is no slots for them to clip into. is there a bit i need to take of first althought it all looks like one peice or should i cut the lugs off??

The Chrome Rear Cup-holder Bezel won't fit to a pre 04MY console.
The console moldings are very different.
Either get yourself a post 04MY console, available as BMW spare and fit the Chrome Bezel to that....
Or get a stick on Chrome Bezel for the (smaller) pre 04MY Cup-holder.
If you cut the lugs off, the Chrome Bezel still won't fit without cutting the molded in black Bezel off the console.
Even then I think they are different diameters.

ill find out how much the consol is but ill prob get a stick on one. im not that worried cos i bought a job lot of chrome private and didnt ask for the cup holder but it arrived so..

i got some harman kardon sppeder covers and some upper speeker/doorhandle surrounds aswell but they look like a dull stainless or alu but ill prob sell these ones and get some chromed ones so it all matches. do you know of a good place to get good quality/cheepish CHROMED versions that replace the oem ones. i dont really want to stick on some covers. the ones i got are complete replacments just not the right finish.

pre 2004 ish spec cars have smaller bonded in cup holder which you can get cover for

2004 models on have a detatchable one which you remove and replace with complete chrome ring.

I bought later one first by mitake for my 2003 mcs, found early cover on ebay from a guy called minichrome.

what was the finish like on the cup holder from minichrome. im always abit courcoius with items like that. Does it look like it is stuck on or does it look ok? u got any of the other stick on stuff?

anyone know how much i would get for some harman karman sortof dull alu finish. ive got a pair of door handle surrounds that are one oblong rather than two circles. anyone know who makes them, ive seen 'em somewhere but not sure where. how much r they likerly to sell for second hand. i wana know cos i wana get shot of the ones i got conned with these ones. I WANT CHROME!

Mine looks freat, doesn't look cheap or out of place fits well What i did was go through their feedback found same item and contacted that buyer of that item, they said it was good so i bought it.

i bought 21 piece kit very happy with it fits well and quick to fit. Pieces are all metal and fit very tightly, i would buy again for another car. going by his feedback looks like its all good stuff
