| 2005 armrest "supposedly" available Hello!! I know we have seen many armrest queries before but here is my latest question. On the build your own mini feature on the website, it shows the new official arm rest is included in the premium package. It is the one with the sliding storage. I called my local MINI dealer and they dont have it and don't know when they will get it. Some other things I have read say, it is coming in February, well, February is over in 3 days so... does anybody know of any dealerships that already have it in?? I really want one for my MCC! Thanks all and happy motoring! undefinedundefinedMINI Cooper Convertible. Cool Blue/Black Top. CVT, Premium, Sports, Cold Weather and some serious love! |

| Here's the info as given to me by my dealer, and seemingly confirmed by the order sheet generated by the factory. The new armrest is available beginning with March production. The armrest IS included in the Premium Package for the convertible. It is NOT included in the Premium Package on the hardtop, rather it is a $200 option. There is no installation charge as it is a factory option. As long as your car is produced after whatever date indicates March production has begun you should get the armrest. | I don't think information concerning a retrofit has been released yet. Since the first of these won't be delivered for a few weeks yet, no one has seen one yet and how it is incorporated into the rear of the center console is more or less unknown. The few pictures that are available aren't all that clear. |

| I just ordered it on my March production MCS. Here's the message I posted on it: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...12#post1403912 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Lester W. Lam USA 2005 MCS Chili Red w/ White |

| I spoke to the Sales manager at my dealer and he confirmed that they got the kinks out of the armrest production and it will be a part of the premium pkg. on cabrio's built in March. I moved production of my mini back one month to March to get it . I really don't want to pay $400 for the part and fitting. Apperently its not just a bolt-on unit. |

| They are going to charge $400!! - man, good thing i'm handy with the tools cause they are crazy if they think i'm going to pay 400$ for them to install it! So does that mean that the local dealerships will be getting the arm rest in stock in march as well? undefinedundefinedMINI Cooper Convertible. Cool Blue/Black Top.
