Jvc Kd-sx990?

Hey, I'm new here and trying to figure out what I want to order on my new Mini. I've decided I want to HK sound system but since I have an iPod (and don't want to use the steering wheel controls-- I'd like to use the iPod click wheel instead) and already own a JVC KD-SX990 head unit I'd like to know:
1. how do I find out what Head Units are compatible with HK? Like, is mine?
and
2. Will that head unit "fit" in the mini?
and finally
3. Will the BMW folks install it for me and how much can I expect that to cost?

I can answer 2 and 3 fairly accurately.

I'm pretty sure that unless you have a really odd shaped head unit, it will fit in the mini. The mini can fit "standard" head units which most head units are.

Your dealer could probably install your head unit, however it would probably be cheaper just to go to your local car audio shop and have them do it.

All head units that have speaker outputs (99% of them) will work with HK - through a HK enabler.
You will also need a MFSW adaptor if the stereo is MFSW ready

Yeah, it's like Greek to me. Will my BMW dealer have the HK enabler? And what is MFSW? Can I get that easily? I'm in the states so averse to ordering from abroad.
