Question SonyEricsson Bluetooth handsfree ECHO PROBLEM

Hi
Has anybody installed SonyEricsson's HCB-300 handsfree kit and also the HCE-16 advanced Music mute along with it.
I just want to know how well it works and if you'd recommend it??

Thanks
Fabio

The HCE16 does not fit the Mini
My HK phone interface will attach the HCB300 to the HK system

I've got the HCB-300 with Mikey's kit. Works great. I had to play with the mic placement a bit. I currently have it in the headliner next to the sunroof switch (ran the mic wire up the A pillar, under the headliner and out the trim surrounding the sunroof/switch panel). The velcro on the mic sticks nicely to the headliner fabric. Some people still complain that it's too reverberant. Good enough, but not great. I wish I could find a better mic so picky listeners would stop complaining.

Mikey's kit rocks, however.

Steve

Well, my excitement about the S-E kit is waning a bit. I think that I've decided to investigate the Parrot CK3000 as a replacement for a couple of reasons. Mikey has it working with the MFSW controls, it will support voice dialing internally (I have a Treo 650 and unfortunately it won't establish a bluetooth connection until AFTER a call is initiated, voice recognition is an add on that deciphers your voice and THEN initiates the call), and it touts echo-cancellation and noise reduction - I don't know how good that is, but I have read some positive reviews.

I thought I saw somewhere that Mikey had caller ID display working too, but I can't seem to find confirmation with this kit. Can anyone confirm that, or was it just with one of the wired kits?

Fabio - where is the microphone??
Also I have been looking at some trade only forums & a few have mentioned the echo & suggested this;
Hiya guys......

The now informous ericsson echo!!!!

Dead simple...
1- Copy all contacts to the sim card.
2- Master reset the handset not just the settings.
3- Wait till phone powers back up then copy back from sim card. (takes ages).

Make a test call.... Problem gone!

P.S. if you don't copy the contacts to sim you loose the lot!

I have never tried this
Alternatively if you are not happy with the ericsson kit I will refund or swap for any other kit
Mike

Thanks alot Mikey

I have sent the control unit back to where i bought it and they are sending me a new one. It went hay wires!
i could hear the reciever but all they could hear was a buzzing noise. So when i get it this week i'll give your suggestion a go.

btw I have placed the microphone on the drivers side pillar, is beside the rear view mirror better???

Thanks again

I'll second that, the one I had for the MINI worked for 5 minutes But the replacement is fine, no echos or nothing...
