United-Kingdom Chrome Interior

DOH!

i've just phoned my dealer to add chrome interior and tinted windows, but cause my car went into production yesterday i've missed my chance to add it to my build by one day!

obviously he said it can be added as an extra after production, but im now thinking is it better to get the chrome interior from mini then add to it from mini mania

or

Just buy a full interior kit from mini mania or similar (can't actually find one that fits the harmon kardon system)

can anyone tell me which they think is better in looks and quality

thx Fez

Cheapest Chrome Interior kit would be dealer option, I have this but it doesn't cover the Harmon Kardon Speaker surrounds?

On my MINI ONE, I retro fitted the interior chrome.
I bought the central rev counter ring, air vents, gear stick ring and front cup holders from BMW.
It works out cheaper to get these parts straight from BMW than aftermarket.

As for the rev counter, you're best to go aftermarket, as BMW only sell a complete Rev counter replacement in chrome, which costs way too much.

I tried to get the rear cup holder in chrome too, but wasn't able to from BMW at the time. Prob due to the dealership tbh....

Ebay do sets for £50-£60. Thats where im going to get mine from, was looking at minisport.com and they were asking for £250 for a 21piece set. I was going to pay that price aswel until i saw a 23piece set for a much cheaper price on ebay. There is a few sellers on there and they are all friendly as i have asked questions about the products!

Hey stephanie,

Just beware of the quality of the ones on Ebay, i believe the expensive ones are direct replacements whereas some of the cheaper ones just stick straight over the originals.....

also see mike at www.newministuff.com, he sells em

Newministuff are OEM, remember though that the dealer wont sell you stuff for the rev counter, as that's not available as retrofit (although I got OEM stuff off ebay for my S, which included the rev counter!).
