MiniDisc and Tape Deck HU's - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi i have just purchased one of the minidisc hu's from someone and i have been informed by another forum member that the plugs are different from my tape deck than the minidisc hu and also am i able to run my 6 disc changer ok with out changing to different plugs?

Yeah the 'Boost' (MD) and 'Wave' (Tape) head units have different connectors, I think you'll be able to get a convertor easily enough, try www.newministuff.com

As for the CD changer, yes the connectors are the same.

Is it true you get a better sound rom the boost stereo than the sound from the wave stereo

Yeah, the boost has a more powerful amplifier
