n00b Alert

hey everyone

I've got a 53 reg mini one, and i finally have soem money to get rid of the ****** soundsystem, i was wondering if people could offer soem advice on how to go about this (as cheaply as possible). I'd like to keep things as hidden as possible. Is it possible to just replace the original speakers? If i do this i assume i should buy an amp as well (as i'm also assuming i don't have one already). And then if i want a sub - a) does this need a seperate amp? and b) will it fit!?

a link to some sort of n00b's guide would be appreciated. I know hifis well, but not car audio, but i'd liek to change that

Many thanks

Steel

Simply changing the head unit can make a massive difference to the quality and power output. I changed mine to the clarion 848 from the bog standard and the difference between this and stock was massive! I found the standard speakers where up to the job, for me anyway!

Id certainly say to you to change the HU first then if you feel you need more go about changing the front speakers and buy an amp!

Try newministuff.co.uk! It has some good info and he is very helpful!
