Only got my MCSa 3 weeks ago and had the Aux fitted. In total it cost about $200. Be aware there are 2 types of Aux connections. One uses the actual iPod connection and these are usually installed into the glovebox or similar location, the other is the 3.5mm jack connection that can be install anywhere, then you just run a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. I initially thought I ordered the first one [link to], Ipod Aux Connector but when I collected the car, it was the second type [link to] Aux Input Considering the options, I'm glad they installed the 2nd type as they connected next to handbrake on opposite side to the "RunFlat" tyre reset, where there is a dummy blank plastic plate. The reason for this is that my MCSa also has the armwrest fitted, so the iPod fits perfect into the armwrest, thus I have short cable into Aux Plug and further the Aux allows any other MP3 etc to be connected. What is funny though is I wanted the full MFSW interface, which is stated on www.mini.com.au however, they do not offer it for some reason. Hope this helps, its great, but only via AUX on head unit so have to manually change the iPod, but thats ok as I have a iPod remote that I connect using the splitter, one to Aux Input other to Ipod remote. Good luck ![]()

I have got the IPod Adapter with MFSW controls, it is the most functional mod I have made to my car. I love it! It isn't cheap but if you think the price is close to a Stacker it isn't bad. You do have to arrange your songs into only 5 playlist and the songs don't appear on the head unit. But you don't have to take your eyes off the road to select your songs and if you put the songs in alphabetical order you always know where your favorite songs are. IT also keeps the IPod charged. But if you think the cost is a bit high, get the AUX Port and get the wireless remote (belkin i think) that you can strap to the Steering wheel. Magictux has one of these as says it works a treat! Get out his gallery.

The Dension ice link is more full featured than the BMW adaptor and allows you to see tracks on the screen of the iPod too. It's about $300 without installation though so unless you're comfortable taking your head unit off (not too hard but not for those unwilling to take a screwdriver to their Minis) probably not the cheapest route.
