Red face Top Down into cold weather?

I'm curious how long people open up the top as the weather gets colder. Being in NJ, the weather is starting it's down-turn.. and I'm expected to get my MCC any day now, so I'm curious what others do.

Yep, even at night close to 3 degrees (celsius) so far. I have the heated seats, which really helps and I have the heater on full normally. Not sure what I'll do when it gets below zero though!

I sometimes ride with the top down in cold weather. Just crank the heater up, turn on the warm seats, use the windscreen, and add a down jacket if necessary.

I did it the other morning.... no wait I do it every morning unless it is raining. Only gotten to the high fourties and it is very nice with the tush toaster on. Only my ears get a little chilly.

I just put a woolly hat on and heaters on full. I don't have heated seats! whoops i should have ticked that box! Its very cold in the back on cold days so I'm told, as the heater has little effect back there.

Glad to see people using a convertible properly, nothing worse that seeing the roof up and the windows down when it's dry & warm!!

I've owned various convertibles in the past, and basically as long as it's not raining, put on warm clothes & enjoy the fresh air - although UK temp never get as low as the other countries.

Best ever roof down experience was in an 1968 MG Midget with the roof down while it was snowing at night, you looked up and all you could see was the snow flowing over your head, ended up with snow all over the dash, but it was worth it

Well then, be sure to wave! I'll be the one with my top down. I drove down 17 this morning with it down, and for those of you in the rest of the world, we've gotten non-stop rain here in the north east US for 8 days now!

The water just flies over the top and people look at you like you're whacko. But, at least I'm outside and whacko!

Enjoy the new ragtop. It's a great car.

BTW, I'm the one on the left in the pic (and taker of the pic). I didn't even notice my nose was cold!

34'F is as cold as I've driven with the top down. Windblocker, seat heaters, gloves, hat, and lasted about an hour to the office. Am looking forward to Tahoe trips this winter just to see if I can suck it up for the ride over the summit! I have a feeling I'll be pulling over and pushing the top-up button with a shaking, cold, finger...we'll see!

If it is not raining then it's top down. As a biker I do go prepared with a scarf, a fleece, heated seats on full and heater on 2 or 3.

the way to go!

I don't have such luxuries as heated seats, an extra pair of undies works just as well!!

My hood is to be found always down, whatever the weather!! I love it!
