is anyone planning on stuffing the gaps in the back next to the backseat for the winter? maybe using some foam, fabric, something to cut down on road noise and maybe add a little insulation during the cold months when the top is up?? also, has anyone moved the rear parcel shelf up yet? my MA told me that there is a "winter" setting, that is higher than normal.
Not really a "winter" settings, just a higher (more regular) place for the parcel shelf, but you can't open the roof with it in that position (does buy a little extra luggage room though!).
Will look at that setting. I like the fact that I can't, by accident, open the top in the winter. I'm debating removing the windscreen for the winter, but have yet to break it down.
I can't really see that blocking the gaps inside the hood would provide a noticeable difference in insulation.... but then our winters aren't nearly as severe as yours!!
Mind you, apparently were in for a harsh one this year!
As far as the wind deflector is concerned I wouldn't be without it during the winter runs. heated seats -ON
Main Heater at number 4 - ON
Eyeball vents directed at you - Done
Woolly hat - ON
Scarf - ON
Warm coat - ON
Long Runs - NOT ON
What do you mean you like the fact that you can't open the top in winter????????????
Did you not sign the "Always Open" Contract?
You are not allowed to drive a MINI Convertible with it's top up UNLESS you are within earshot of a Kazoo Band....
I have had my convertible for a year now and I had the top down right through last winter in Rochester, New York includimg days down to -15 degrees F.
There is nothing better than a clear cold morning with the heated seats, heater on Full blast and the sound system blasting out some great tunes...
