JCW Kit on MCS Convertible - different than MCS?

Some of the threads herein mention spec differences between the JCW kit on the Convertible vs hardtop. Is there a difference? No indication I can discern on website or elsewhere.

Anyone know for certain?

Very close to pulling the trigger on a fully-equipped, cool blue, MCSC w/JCW and want to check this out. I understand that the front strut brace is not included with either car but a worthwhile add-on especially for convertible.

Thanks

No difference at all between the two

Sounds like a great car, and yes the strut brace certanily is worthwhile on the
convertible

As Shorty said, the JCW 210bhp kit is exactly the same as on the MCS hard top. The performance figures will be slightly different though due to the extra 100kg the MCSC carries.

The strut brace is a very worthwhile addition! I have a JCW brace on my MCC, the effect is amazing!

I thought the exhaust (now with a tight kink) is different to clear the underbody supports?

nope, the exhaust was changed for all the cars, so all of the JCW exhausts fit both now

United-States what is a strut brace?

I have a MCS that is now in transit for June delivery...didn't get JCW because I need an auto trans (don't laugh..)! As I ordered every option (but JCW), I want to be sure that I am not "missing something"...thanks.

The a brace that bolts to the top of the front struts (suspension mounts) it stiffens the front of the car up, stops body roll, especially effective on the convertible, apparently.

Is the JCW strut brace something they install at the dealer? I have a convertible on a boat to San Diego right now so I hope I can still add that.

Yes, it can be fitted by the dealer though it is a very easy DIY job if you decide to do it yourself. 10 mins max
