Passenger Airbag - Illuminated or not?

The passenger airbag light next to the roof buttons.. mines always been illuminated yellow since purchase. Does that mean it is activated or not? Can't see reference to it in the manual!

It means it's deactivated.
If you have a warning light on the dash as well, it means all airbags are disabled.

Thanks... I don't suppose anyone knows how to re-activate it or is that a dealer thing!?

I'm guessing you have the key de-activation/activation? Should be a key hole on the passenger end of the dash panel (only visibile with the door open) with "ON" and "OFF" positions. Put in your key and turn it on. Hopefully so anyway.

I didn't ask the dealer for key preferences (or anything special) on delivery and assumed it would come with all the default settings, as I don't have any kids travelling in the car. I'd better not tell my other half she'd not be best pleased she'd been riding around without airbag pretection for the first 5000 miles!

I'll try that tonight when I get home thanks!

It should be on by default, I'd complain if it was when you collected the car.

Yep, it was a simple turn of the key switch to get it on. Can't say I'd seen that behind the door (never been a passenger) or found it in the manual.

It's not great the dealer had it turned off before delivery but I can't be bothered to complain - I should have thought about it before now! I think I'd just assumed it would be red if it was a warning light and assumed yellow was fine - just to draw attention to it! Doesn't bare thinking about if I'd had an accident and my wife had been injured tho!

I must confess I only looked in the pdf vesion of the manual I have, which obviosusly isn't an up to date version because you're right - it's right there on page 48 of my paper version!
