A cat - on my soft top!!

I'm the very proud new owner of a Mini One Conv. and while I love my new car, the local cat seems to have also taken a shine to it! It has taken to sleeping on my soft top every night - leaving paw prints accross the bonnet and hair and greasy marks all over the roof!!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of it?!! My only solution so far is putting a blanket over the roof, sprinkled with pepper, which I think it deterring it, but I think I am likely to get fed up with doing this every night!

Any ideas gratefully received!!

might sound daft but cats hate the smell of anything citrus. I have been told that squeezing a Jif lemon juice on your tyres can help.

However I haven't tried this and take no responsibility if you wake one morning to find your car covered in a giant pancake

We used to have a cat that would ALWAYS sneak into the garage and sleep on the soft top of my mothers Mercedes SL, we couldn't stop it!

Hey there,

Try a BB gun or one of those air soft guns ( plastic bb's ) - It shouldn't damage the top ( if you have good aim ) .

...american, using force first. but let's not get political.

I suggest that you park the car somewhere else.
... or change your aftershave/purfume.

Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...

Simple solution... go to your local good hardware store and buy a bag of mothballs.

Leave half a dozen around the car, and wave good buy to pesky felines

Place a vacume cleaner on guard next to your car.

I agree with the guy who suggested a BB gun (i'm not a cat lover)

Seriously though, i had a cat scratch my bonnet a few weeks ago I just send out 4 angry labradors when i see a cat in my garden

So what?

Just let it sleep there - or park somewhere else.

A cat has taken a shine to sleeping on my soft top, I personally couldn't care less. There are more important things in life to get worried about.
