Switzerland Open/Close the Roof while drivin'

I'm looking for a possibility to open/close the roof while driving’.
I know that for some BMW models (example E36), it is possible to cut the Speed signal which is distributed to the roof motor to stop the opening process if you drive faster than walking speed. Now I’m looking for the same possibility for my Mini Convertible.
It is clear that you don’t have to open while driving with 60mph, but up to 20 it shouldn’t be a big problem for the Roof.

I would say it would be difficult as I very much doubt there is a speed sensor wire directly connected to the roof mechanism.

There will be a speed sensor wire but this will report to the BCU and will be used for all speed sensor functions ABS ASC etc. When you press the button for the roof that button signals the BCU which then checks the speed sensor to see if it's OK to operate the roof or not.

Unless you can reprogram the BCU I would say you're probably out of luck.

It was acceptable in the 80's

I have one of the last E36 convertible (Oct 2000 build) and its not possible to do that. I would consider it highly dangerous!
