I've got some mountain biking gloves I normally wear because they're nice and grippy and a wooly hat. But I've not put them in the car yet, as it's still pretty warm - I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt last night with the roof down after playing football

This will be my first winter as well. Picked up the car on the 3rd of March which I guess was still technically winter and seemed colder than Jan/Feb! Unfortunately at that time of year none of the shops seemed to be selling gloves as they all had their "lets look forward to spring/summer" collections in!

So I got some gloves last week ready but haven't needed them yet!

It's still top down whenever it's not raining but I must admit I open it only during daylight hours! Is that wrong?

Yes, soooo wrong

There's nothing nicer than driving at night with the roof down, give it a try, I love it

Give it a go! Ya never know!

The one thing i love is going through Town at pub chuck-out time topless with the music blaring! That gets some looks!

Ah you can't beat the topless night-time driving with the moon shining and stars out - although they can be a bit distracting.

Of course I have to wonder MiniCabrio, are they looking at you topless or wondering who would have a taste in music like yours? (not that I know you taste of course).

Well it's definately time to get the woolly hats, scarves and gloves out and swap them for the baseball caps and sunhats I've got the roof down today but it's getting pretty chilly

You're making me wish I had a cabrio Nicky I'm sure you love those really cold, crisp, clear mornings (And if you didn't before, you certainly will with the supercharger - it LOVES those sorts of days )

Yep, it's that time of year again. Last weekend we went from Oxford to Snowdonia and had the roof down all the way in both directions. This weekend it was firmly shut and the poor thing was drenched.

Oh you can't beat those mornings, freezing outside but you're all snug in the car

We must've had better weather up here as my roof was down nearly all weekend

This thread gave me a chuckle as there a few convertible (one of them a Mini) owners at work when one was asked about the roof she replied it hasnt been the right weather. Now a friend of mine had a lotus and his rule was if its not raining then roof off. Surely if you wait till its sunny you will just end up putting it back up when you burn your head. Good to see some all weather owners here too.

Shaun I just don't understand people who buy a convertible and then drive around with the roof up It's rarely the right weather in this country is it?

Even if you are caught in a rain shower as long as you keep over 30mph you won't get wet
