Wink Convertible drivers - are you ready for Winter?

Nothing too technical, but now it's getting a bit cooler, have you swapped over your hats?

I've taken out my sunhats and swapped them for wooly ones, and even bought some new posh leather gloves to keep in the car - which I wore last night when I was coming home about 8.30pm roofless

I keep a good supply of hats, gloves and scarves for passengers in the car - stops them moaning when I put the roof down

I love it

I so rarely see convertible owners over here going topless, it's so disappointing! You and Jon will have to teach them a thing or two when you come over

I keep a few different weight jackets in the trunk, along with a variety of hats.

How cold is it in Ireland in February?

Yes, unless it's soaking the roof goes down - but then I haven't gone through the winter yet as I only got the car in March

Extra jackets, that's a good idea too

I won't be picking mine up until November - months of chilly driving to look forward to!

Got a MINI rucksack full of cleaning stuff from the dealer when we collected the car - this is now stuffed full of fleeces and hats etc. and lives in the boot.

It has to be seriously cold or tipping down to stop me going topless - after all, otherwise why by a convertible in the first place?

Put my leather driving gloves in the car this morning!! Needed them too!

I'm not going for a hat this year as it messes my hair up, but I've got a ski ear warmer - less the sting slogan

No heated seats for me either, I'm well 'ard

I just wore a fleece this moring on the way to work with the top down. It was showing 7degC on the display and my hands were a bit chilli after 20mins on the motorway. I got a flash from another MCC driver coming the other way (with their top up!). I am not sure if they were happy cos I was brave enough to fly the flag, or whether they could tell I was a newby at this topless lark.
I have had my Red MCC for 1 week today and had the top down every day at some point, even through last weekends monsoon. I am totally loving it too, I have had a few cars (no minis however) but none have got close to the excitement and enjoyment I have had with my mini. The car has been faultless (1 sticking rear window incident excepted but that doesnt bother me) and the dealers (Rydale-Cardiff) have been very good (thanks to Mark James).

Give me a flash if you see me in my Chilli Red MCC (with spots) around Cardiff Rhubarb!

Got to go, time to round up the audience for the ceremonial lowering of the roof before I go home.

Cheers

Mr Lew

Top job. I can't stand wearing a hat of any kind after doing my hair . definitely getting one of this ski things. Transferring the sun hat for the woollies this weekend. My 1st winter in a convertible Brilliant!!!! Got no heated seats but tested the heater today at 5am and i have to say I could have gone to work wearing shorts and t-shirts in 5 oc temp
