Pink Cooper My Pink Mini... Finally

hello everyone.

I finally have taken pictures of my pinked-out mini. She used to be a cool blue mini (thus the striping to match the interior). I am sooo happy with it and the looks I get are priceless

...all comments are welcome. (good, bad and otherwise )

Wow! I know we've got a few members on here who lust after a pink MINI.

How long did it take to get that all done, are you delighted with the finish etc?

I loooooove it.

It took one full day... oh i didn't mention. I had it "wrapped" in vinyl so I could always go back to the cool blue if i so desired. I am really happy with how it turned out.

That's very nice!!

Is that HyperBlue underneath? (I have a HB/W MCS up here in Northern CA).

So the whole car is wrapped in vinyl and then painted? I didn't know that was even possible? Can you just 'peel off the pink' if you want to? How much did the 'wrapping' cost?

Thank you!

I chose the pink color and the "cool blue" color and then it was printed out onto the vinyl and wrapped on my car. I can just peel the whole thing off and the paint underneath will be as good as new =)

Vinyl wrap is a good idea. How is it around the joins such as bonnet and door openings? Always wondered how that works/looks?

I have to admit the wrap is a clever idea. (Puts on best deep manly voice) Looks good, for a pink car.

...i'll take picture around the joints and such when i get home... when you get up reeeeeal close you can see that it is vinyl from how it looks around the edges but most people don't get that close. . everyone who sees it always thinks its painted and is surprise when i tell them it is vinyl.

... i tried to get the blue to match as close as possible and I am happy with the results =)

... thanks everyone for the kind words

... i think i may have painted it if I wasn't leasing the car...but this was a good compromise I thought.

Photos of the edges would be good. I've contemplated a "wrap" in the past actually, which is why I was so interested. Seems a good way to get a new colour, and protect your paint etc at the same time!

Des, she looks fabulous

From the pictures you can't tell it's a wrap, it's very well done

Paul, I've looked at MINIs wrapped by Alexpalex; from just roof and spoiler to complete car including mirrors and you would have to know where to look to see that they were not painted.

That's gorgeous! Mind sharing a ball park cost? I can see doing that for a temp color change on my GP without damaging the original paint.
