Limited Edition Sidewalk Convertible

Greetings all you potential convertible buyers. Thought you may be interested in this:

MINI Convertible Sidewalk models.

Mini has announced a top-of-the-range addition to its convertible line-up, due to be presented for the first time at the Detroit motor show.

Available in One, Cooper and Cooper S guises, the Sidewalk model includes leather upholstery, 17-inch alloys, a multi-function leather steering wheel and sports seats.

The Sidewalk also boasts the option of a CVT transmission, while the Cooper version can be fitted with a six-speed auto' gearbox.

Sidewalk models weigh in about six grand more than their base model equivalent, which Mini says in a saving of some £2,000 over specifying the options independently.

There's pictures of them on Topgear, Pistonhead and Autocar websites. They look very snazzy!

R

Interesting, glad to see the limited editions along the same themes as the original. Can we expect a MINI Advantage for Wimbledon ?

The sidewalk is the expected special end of line edition that Paul had hinted at previously, just surprised to see MINI release it this early as isn't the Convertible supposed to last until AW08?

Its a dodgy name IMO, but at least it doesn't look like the old sidewalk

Wasn't the British Open the unoffical tennis style limited edition?

Next year would be a good year for a Wimbledon tie in, as they celebrate 130 at Wimbledon

I like the fact that the armrest matches the seats and they didn't go overboard making the door panels match ...

The seats are the park lane ones, but in brown leather rather than black. If they are as comfy as the park lane ones they will be really good.....
