Should i upgrade to a S

Had my mini One convertible for 2 years now. Its cool blue with 17" bullets and has a bluefin but at the weekend a friend took me out in his Audi TT 225bhp and now my car feels soooo slow.

Now the dilemma i have is should i trade it in for a Cooper S of the same age / colour etc or leave it till the new convertible hits the streets in a few years time?

Was planning to buy a Type 2 VW Camper and restore it.

Decisions........

Lets be honest, your ONE will always feel slow compared with a 225hp TT. But, I bet you have more fun in your MINI than he does in his Audi.

Stick with the MINI, for a while. There are bound to be a few bargains had when the new one hits the streets. Just look at the number of hardtops on the market now Or if you really can't wait, go for it

Type 2 project? Being a VW fan I know exactly what you mean - and thats a lot of work - but rewarding! I've been helping a friend with the finishing touches on a 21 window samba - incredible.

Best of luck

After 225 BHP you'll be wanting at least a JCW

If I were you I'd wait until your planned replacement time. You've still got the MINI topless fun until then. I'll be selling mine as soon as my warranty runs out, which was pretty much timed on when I thought the new model is available (I'm hoping by March 2009). I'll be taking a bit of a hit but, as Minicabrio says, it'll produce some bargains in the second hand market!

Go for a Cooper S I say, then splash out £700 on a 210bhp upgarde at Lohen, GTT or Minispeed I say. You wont regret that choice.

Cheers peeps for the feed back. Took the ONE for a spin wid me bro last nite and he was impressed with its power so may just wait a bit untill i trade.
Must say when i was in the TT it felt like just another car, where as my mini feels like MY car with MY spec. Cant beat the personal feel of a mini.
Anyway lets wait and see.
