What to use, + any tips on protecting our Cabrio roofs?

My MCS Cabrio is 2 and a half years old now, so I'm thinking it might be time to give it a coat of protective layer or something? But to be honest I don't know where to start when it comes to what to use, which product is the best for the Mini roof etc.

Any pointers please fire away, cheers!

Can't see anything on the Cab threads but might not be looking in the right place....friend of mine has used this from new though and swears by it

Yeah I had a look around and couldn't find anything on the subject, but I guess people must use something?

I will have a look at the link, if it is recommended then it sounds good, that's what I'm looking for really, a few people recommending the same thing

Fab product... easy to use, not overly expensive, and leaves your roof looking like new

how long do you have to leave it for? is it a case of leaving it over night yeah?

You get two products in a kit, a shampoo and a protector.

The shampoo comes with an applicator sponge, on a sunny morning, work it the shampoo into the hood, and rinse out thoroughly with a hose. Leave to dry in the sun....

Once dry, apply the protector (comes in a spray gun). Best to leave this overnight to dry properly.

Really helps repel dirt, rain water, birds muck...everything.

halfords also have a three for two on cleaning products at the min so it's worth stocking up on polish etc

cheers for that, i went at dinner to the one near where i work and they didn't have any soft top cleaner, will go to my local one and stock up!!

Just noticed this. Probably too late now, but for the benefit of anyone else looking, I bought mine from an e-bay store called Mr Spongies! though if you don't use e-bay I think you can just ring them up.

It was £11.99 plus £5 delivery but I ordered lots of other bits that were also similarly cheaper than Halfords or whatever and I was very happy with their service and will use them again (the wheel cleaner stuff works great too!).
