Wind Deflector - can't believe how good...!

Well, after 3 weeks with the new convertible I took the plunge and bought a wind deflector (yeah, yeah, everyone said I should have had it from the start).

What a difference! No more buffeting, wind noise reduced by a huge amount - can't believe what a difference it makes. Superb!

Got it off eBay as well (new, unused) so the bargain price makes it feel even better!

Always have said it's a must have. From the moment we first used it on the launch even in France (on a motorway!) it was incredible how much difference it made!

So was it you two that kept bidding against me

How much did you get it for? Around £120 seems to be the going price.

Yeah, you don't really appreciate the difference the deflector makes until you go back to not having one! I removed mine to cart some stuff on the back seats at the weekend, drove without it this morning and it was chuffin' freezing once you get some speed up

Sounds like you got a good deal - £107 would be a good price for a used one, never mind brand new - well done!

Wow that's fantastic. Will just have to keep trying as I don't want to pay silly money for one or I might as well get a new one from the Stealers .

Got mine for well, sort of free as someone had swiped it at the dealers and just left the empty case and because it was advertised with the car they had to provide me with a brand new one , i would not be without mine

Hi,

If you want a cabrio wind deflector I've got one, as I've now sold my Mini, drop me a PM.

Otherwise it's off to ebay on Sunday

Paul;

Thanks Paul,
Received it in good order.
After 2 years of not having one, I can now say that it's definately worth getting. Not saying that I felt windswept without it, but it certainly does make a difference.

Stupid question alert!!!

I just got my groovy wind deflector and haven't yet put it in the car so I'm not sure how easy/difficult the installation is or if it has any effect on the top. I can still close the top with the wind deflector installed, can't I?
