France Opening problem in pictures, problem.......

Hello,

I have since yesterday a problem when opening the roof, see picture attach files

I am go to my BMW dealer, this isn't electrical problem, this is a blocking mecanical and next thuesday i must go for a big operation

Have already considering this problem???

I had the same problem with my roof more than a year ago. The problem is caused by a snapped cable on the side which is not retracting. Starngely enough mine was also the right side like yours.
The dealer replaced the cable and everything has been o.k. since (knock on wood)

If you know how many MINIs you have you don't have enough ...

I think this is a lot of hours for change this cable...the access is not easy...

It's no simply, the mecanism is out, the repairs + parts is 750 €

I wait a decision from MINI France for the contribution of this problem, the Cooper have 2 year and 3 month... This problem isn't normal for this age...

normaly morning the MINI is OK
