MINI Cooper S Sidewalk Convertible - Got one for a week

I've got a Sidewalk Cooper S Convertible for the week to review, photograph and hopefully video (if some spare parts arrive for the camcorder in time!) for MINI2.

Been taking some snaps already, which are currently only on Flickr (click image for Sidewalk Photo Set on Flickr).

So, any tips from Convertible owners for making the most out of our time together?

And any questions from would be/could be Convertible owners?

I think they're very David Dickenson

One tip Paul for quick roof lowering (i.e. traffic light moments)....
  1. Tap the window down button to begin lowering all four windows.
  2. Press the roof open button as usual.
  3. By the time the sunroof is open, the front windows are already on their way down so when you push the roof button again, the roof comes straight off without having to wait for the windows.
This does sometimes get my car in a bit of a tizwaltz though

P.S. If you fancy meeting up for a convertible photoshoot this week - let me know. One of the oldest on MINI2 versus the newest

Is that what you tried to do on Saturday and ended up pulling into a bus lane so it could complete the action as there was not enough time at the lights for the roof to get all the way down ?

Love the seats in the Sidewalk, would consider trading the Daisy car for one.

Im sure it will be an interesting read.

The only change that we have done to ours is adding Chrome exterior mirrors to it. It look great with the chrome hoops and the Astro black paint.

Having the Cooper Sidewalk and an R56 S really does give us the best of both worlds. They look and drive totally different .

So far so good.

Will write up and do a proper review when I've had it a bit longer, there as some niggles and things I'm not keen on, but with brilliant sunshine like we've been having you cant really grumble too much!
