Covertible roof and parcel shelf!

Hi,

I have problem in the roof goes back in sunroof, then will not drop all the way back! The light flashes on the button and the windows do not go down. Apparently this is because the parcel shelf is not fitted correctly. I cant work out why it is not fitted properly, I have checked that its in the lower position and also that the levers are down. Is there anything else needed for roof operation?

There is a little button that needs to be pressed on one of the lips that parcel shelf sits on....drivers side I think, make sure the parcel shelf is pressing this down.

Same problem with my 05 ragtop. I had a top failure once before but solved it with a proper alignment of the parcel shelf and secure lever... but the problem suddenly appeared again and nothing I do for adjustment/alignment will allow the top to go past sunroof. Worse - and scary - for a moment it wouldn't close back up either $%#@ making me worry that I'd be left with a wide open Mini forever. HELP - is there some way to test the switches - or permanently set them to the OK position to avoid the dreaded parcel shelf misalignment problems.
