Still leaking!!

Hi everyone,

Hope all are well; it's been a while since I've been on the forum. I have had water ingress into my boot for possibly a year now. I've had it in to Scotthall Watford around 4 times now. Last time they said it was the latch on the boot, so they replaced that and said they've tested it etc and there's no water ingress. Low and behold, it rains outside and my boot is wet yet again!

Despite me telling them to check everything, I'm not convinced that they checked the roof. Has anyone else had water ingress into their boot, and if so, could they tell me where it came in from? They charged me £100 for diagnostics when they couldn't find a fault, but said that would be refunded if eventually they discover it's due to a fault covered by the warranty.

I'm really getting fed up with it; I have obtained a printout from Scotthall of all my visits, as I have had the car from new (it's 2.5 years old) and have had lots of problems with it. I think I'm going to write to MINI to complain. Does anyone have their address?

I had water coming into the boot from the third brake light. Whoever had fiddled with it last had broekn the light's center plastic mount by tightening the screw too hard. I haven't had a leak since I fixed this.

My 08 convertible had a water leak in the boot about a year ago. The dealer said that the water was coming over a seal on the passenger side. The seal was replaced under warranty and the leak was cured.
